JAKARTA |LINTASTIMOR.Id) — Chief of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Information Center, Major General Kristomei Sianturi, S.Sos., M.Si. (Han), received Jamie W. Ravetz, Press Attaché of the U.S. Embassy in Indonesia, at Puspen TNI Headquarters, Jakarta, on Wednesday (20/8/2025).
The meeting, held in a cordial atmosphere, marked an initial exchange between the two offices to discuss cooperation in defense diplomacy through strategic communication and public information.
Maj. Gen. Sianturi highlighted Puspen TNI’s role as the official channel for disseminating TNI policies, operations, and activities while maintaining transparency and building the institution’s image at home and abroad.
“Strengthening cooperation in public communication is crucial to foster mutual understanding, especially in the context of the upcoming multinational exercise Super Garuda Shield 2025,” said Maj. Gen. Sianturi.
Ravetz welcomed the initiative and emphasized the significance of communication in defense partnerships.
“Strategic communication plays a key role in advancing our cooperation, particularly during joint engagements such as Super Garuda Shield,” Ravetz stated.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhance synergy in public communication as part of adaptive and collaborative defense diplomacy.
