Seperti ombak yang semula riuh lalu surut perlahan, inflasi di Kota Timika kini melandai. Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) mencatat, pada Agustus 2025 inflasi year on year berada di angka 2,08 persen dengan Indeks Harga Konsumen (IHK) 111,40.
“Secara year on year, inflasi Timika di Agustus 2025 tercatat 2,08 persen. Secara bulanan terjadi deflasi 1,12 persen, dan sepanjang tahun berjalan (year to date) inflasi berada di 0,79 persen,” pungkas Ouceu, seolah menutup laporannya dengan bait kelegaan.
