TERNATE |LINTASTIMOR.ID] – Di tengah riuh suara mahasiswa dan masyarakat yang memenuhi jalan-jalan Kota Ternate, Gubernur Maluku Utara, Sherly Tjoanda, memilih langkah yang jarang diambil pemimpin: ia turun langsung, menatap mata rakyatnya, dan mendengarkan.
“Hari ini saya memilih mendengar… Suara mahasiswa dan masyarakat yang turun ke jalan adalah bagian dari nafas demokrasi,” ujar Sherly dengan tenang, didampingi Wakil Gubernur, Wali Kota Ternate, Ketua DPRD, serta unsur Forkopimda.
Sebanyak 17 tuntutan disuarakan: dari isu hukum, pertanahan, hingga perizinan pertambangan. “Ada yang menjadi kewenangan daerah, ada pula yang akan kami teruskan ke Pemerintah Pusat. Termasuk soal 11 warga Haltim, saya sudah berkomunikasi dengan aparat hukum agar prosesnya berjalan adil, transparan, dan penuh rasa kemanusiaan,” katanya.
Meski sempat memanas, aksi berakhir damai. Kehidupan harian warga yang bergantung pada pendapatan harian pun kembali berputar. “Kritik bukanlah musuh, tapi cermin untuk terus berbenah. Mari kita jaga penyampaian aspirasi tetap damai, agar rumah besar Indonesia tetap aman dan bisa kita isi dengan keadilan serta kesejahteraan bagi semua,” ucapnya.

TERNATE |LINTASTIMOR.ID]– Amid the chants of students and citizens filling the streets of Ternate, North Maluku Governor Sherly Tjoanda chose a rare path: she stepped forward, looked her people in the eye, and listened.
“Today, I chose to listen… The voices of students and the people who took to the streets are part of the very breath of democracy,” Sherly said calmly, accompanied by the Deputy Governor, the Mayor of Ternate, the Speakers of both Provincial and City Councils, and regional security leaders.
Seventeen demands were delivered—on legal issues, land disputes, and mining permits. “Some are within our authority, others will be forwarded to the Central Government. Regarding the 11 residents of Haltim, I have already spoken with law enforcement to ensure the process will be fair, transparent, and humane,” she stated.
Though tension rose, the demonstration ended peacefully. Daily life, especially for those relying on daily income, resumed. “Criticism is not an enemy, but a mirror for us to improve. Let us keep our aspirations peaceful, so that Indonesia, our shared home, remains safe and filled with justice and prosperity,” said the courageous governor.

TERNATE |LINTASTIMOR ID]– Em meio aos gritos de estudantes e cidadãos que tomaram as ruas de Ternate, a governadora das Molucas do Norte, Sherly Tjoanda, tomou uma decisão rara: aproximou-se, olhou nos olhos do povo e escutou.
“Hoje escolhi ouvir… As vozes dos estudantes e do povo que saíram às ruas são parte do sopro da democracia,” disse Sherly com serenidade, ao lado do vice-governador, do prefeito de Ternate, dos presidentes das câmaras e das forças de segurança.
Dezessete reivindicações foram apresentadas—sobre questões jurídicas, conflitos de terras e licenças de mineração. “Algumas são de competência regional, outras serão encaminhadas ao Governo Central. Quanto aos 11 moradores de Haltim, já dialoguei com as autoridades judiciais para que o processo seja justo, transparente e humano,” afirmou.
Apesar da tensão inicial, o protesto terminou em paz. A vida cotidiana do povo, que em grande parte depende da renda diária, pôde seguir em frente. “A crítica não é inimiga, mas um espelho para continuarmos a melhorar. Que nossas vozes permaneçam pacíficas, para que a grande casa chamada Indonésia continue segura e possamos preenchê-la com justiça e prosperidade,” declarou a governadora corajosa.
